Rancho De La Luna, a hidden oasis for musicians about 120 miles east of LA in Joshua Tree. It has become a magnet for the cool, the experimental, and the downright legendary. Bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal and Foo Fighters have not only recorded music here, but continue to talk about its specialness and add to its folklore. You may have seen Anthony Bourdain roam the halls in No Reservations here. The vibe is incredible, a small home studio with all the gear you’d need. You can feel how and why these legendary stories and bands like to spend time here. It’s not pretentious, Dave makes you feel at home immediately and its location in the desert has a vortex like feel matched with a sense of peace and calm. A blend of inspiration and relaxation that sets the scene to write, record and make some damn good music.
